Kilian Martin’s short skateboarding video, “Altered Route”. Not only are Kilian’s freestyle tricks some of the coolest and most creative that I’ve seen since Rodney Mullen, but this video is just beautiful. All of it was shot in a ghost town at an abandoned water park somewhere in California.
There’s nothing like running to the world’s first soft-serve vegan ice cream truck that’s really “like no udder”! We couldn’t miss out on adding this 100 percent dairy-free food truck serving Providence, Rhode Island, and surrounding cities in Massachusetts. Galcos Soda Pop Stop is a store in Los Angeles that only sells soda pop, only in glass bottles. He almost exclusively sells obscure, independent, family-owned brands without high fructose corn syrup and is one of the cutest, happiest people I’ve ever seen. I absolutely need to visit this place and go soda shopping and then give him a high five for making a little boy like me’s dream come true!Galcos Soda Pop Stop is a place I need to visit.
John Nese is the proprietor of Galcos Soda Pop Stop in LA. His father ran it as a grocery store, and when the time came for John to take charge, he decided to convert it into the ultimate soda-lovers destination. About 500 pops line the shelves, sourced lovingly by John from around the world. John has made it his mission to keep small soda-makers afloat and help them find their consumers. Galcos also acts as a distributor for restaurants and bars along the West Coast, spreading the gospel of soda made with cane sugar (no high-fructose corn syrup if John can avoid it).
One of the many dead bodies in Aokigahara in Japan. Fifty-four people successfully killed themselves in this notorious Japanese forest in 2010 alone.
It’s totally possible to immigrate to Sweden, actually. Obviously, there’s a long process to do so, but as I’ve said several times before on here, moving to another country just is not a priority of mine right now. I’m not really sure what you mean by “a guy like me”, but Sweden does not have any particular laws against what types of people are allowed in their country. Immigration to Sweden had reached its highest point in 2009 and a huge portion of their population is a product of immigration.
Statistically, people actually do not want to come to America anymore. Less people are immigrating here (legally and illegally) than ever before and more and more people are opting to leave. I’m not really sure what you mean by “because blonds are better”; I’ve spelled out in detail why I specifically would prefer to live in Scandinavia several times already.
I hear Australia is really great, too. They’re pretty progressive in many ways, which is nice. I seem to have a lot of great followers and zine customers from there, which may or may not indicate how awesome people are there.
Most of Europe is appealing to me, but Sweden really stands out as the best. My second choice would probably be Norway.
Apparently, no one has the same opinion of Australian alcohol ads.
And then, coincidentally and interestingly, this view from Australia.
